The alphabet is made up of things called "letters".

A letter is a little shape that makes a special sound.

There is a big A and a small a, but they both have the same sound.

Here is the sound: ah! Or sometimes, ai, just like the letter itself!

Here is an apple. The word "apple" begins with A.

Can you think of any other words that begin with A?

Oh, those are some good ones! They might be the same as mine.
