Here in New York, the air is tense but the streets are almost empty.

We spoke about the situation with NYPD Deputy Chief Patrick O'Hara.

People are understandably anxious, but rioting and looting only makes things worse.

The NYPD is prepared to protect our citizens and our business premises...

... but the best thing to do right now is stay home.

Do not stockpile food.
